Getting started

Account setup, navigation, and Kiddlo basics

Kiddlo is a marketplace for parents to buy and sell pre-loved baby and toddler items. From prams and car seats to toys and clothing, we make it easy to give quality gear a second life — safely and locally.

Tap 'Sign up', enter your name, email, and a password. You can also sign up with Google for a quicker start. You'll need to verify your email before you can buy or sell.

Yes! Creating an account and listing items is completely free. We only charge a small Buyer Protection fee at checkout, which covers your purchase if anything goes wrong.

Go to your profile and tap 'Edit profile' to update your display name, location, bio, and avatar.

Contact us at hello@kiddlo.co.uk and we'll process your account deletion within 7 days. Any active listings will be removed and pending transactions completed first.

Buying on Kiddlo

Finding items, making offers, and completing purchases

Use the search bar to look for specific items, or browse by category. You can filter by location, price range, and condition to find exactly what you need.

Find something you like, tap 'Buy now' or 'Make an offer', and follow the checkout steps. Your payment is held securely until you confirm you're happy with the item.

Yes! Tap 'Make an offer' on any listing to suggest a different price. The seller has 24 hours to accept or decline. If they accept, you'll get a link to pay at the agreed price.

Tap the heart icon on any listing to save it to your Liked Items. You can find all your saved items from the menu at any time.

Tap 'Message' on any listing to start a conversation with the seller. You can ask questions, request more photos, or arrange collection details.

After payment, you'll be taken to a chat with the seller to arrange collection or delivery. The seller will mark the item as posted, and you'll need to confirm receipt within 3 days. Once confirmed, the funds are released to the seller.

Check our Safety Tips page for guidance on specific product categories. We encourage sellers to include clear photos and honest descriptions. If something doesn't look right, report the listing.

Selling on Kiddlo

Listing items, managing sales, and tips for success

Tap 'List an item' from the menu, upload up to 5 photos, add a title and description, choose a category and condition, set your price, then publish. Your listing will be live within seconds.

Any baby, toddler, or maternity item in fair condition or better. This includes prams, car seats, clothing, toys, nursery furniture, and more. We don't allow recalled items, counterfeit goods, or anything unsafe.

Listing items on Kiddlo is completely free. We only charge a small protection fee to buyers at checkout — sellers receive the full item price.

Go to your Dashboard, find the listing, and tap 'Edit' to update details or remove it. Sold items are automatically marked as sold after a successful transaction.

When a buyer makes an offer, you'll see it in your messages. You can accept or decline directly from the chat. If you accept, the buyer will be prompted to pay at the agreed price.

Use clear, well-lit photos from multiple angles. Write an honest, detailed description including brand, size, age, and any wear. Price competitively by checking similar items on Kiddlo. Respond to messages quickly — most buyers choose the first seller who replies.

Payments & fees

How payments work, protection fees, and withdrawals

When a buyer pays, the money is held securely by Stripe (our payment partner). Once the buyer confirms they've received the item, the funds are released to the seller's Kiddlo balance.

A small fee is added at checkout to cover your purchase. It's tiered based on item price: 70p flat for items under £10, 8% for £10–£50, 6% for £50–£150, and 5% (capped at £20) for items over £150. This covers you if the item doesn't match the description or doesn't arrive.

Funds are released 3 days after payment, or sooner if the buyer confirms receipt early. You can then withdraw your balance from your Dashboard to your bank account.

Go to your Dashboard, tap 'Withdraw', enter the amount and your bank details, and submit. Withdrawals are reviewed and processed by our team, usually within 1–2 working days.

We accept all major debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay through our secure Stripe checkout.

Collection & delivery

Arranging handover, posting items, and confirming receipt

Delivery arrangements are made directly between buyer and seller through messages. Many items are collected in person, but you can agree to post items if both parties are happy.

This is agreed between buyer and seller. We recommend discussing delivery costs before completing the purchase. Some sellers include postage in the listing price.

In the chat after a sale, tap 'Confirm posted'. You can optionally add a tracking number. The buyer will be notified that the item is on its way.

In the chat, tap 'Confirm received' once you have the item and you're happy with it. This releases the funds to the seller. You can also confirm from your Purchases page.

Disputes & refunds

Raising issues, getting refunds, and Buyer Protection

If the item is significantly different from the listing, you can raise a dispute within 3 days of receipt. Our team will review the case and issue a refund if the claim is valid.

In the chat after a purchase, tap 'Dispute'. Choose a category (not as described, not received, safety concern, or other), describe the issue, and upload up to 5 photos as evidence. Our team will review within 24 hours.

The seller will be notified and can respond with their side of the story plus photos. Our team reviews both sides and decides the outcome: full refund to buyer, partial refund, or release funds to seller.

Once a refund is approved, it typically takes 3–5 working days to appear back on your card or payment method.
